WASHINGTON ISLAND, WI
Washington Island is located off the tip of the Door County Pennisula in Wisconsin. This 35 square mile island is the second oldest Icelandic Settlement in North America. Washington Island is reached by taking the Washington Island Car Ferry at the Northport Pier.
Washington Island offers a unique vacation experience. There are a variety of accommodations, restaurants, shops and museums. Recreational activities include biking, swimming, camping, fishing, and hiking to name a few. The Island Calendar of Events offers additional activities including art classes, a music festival, Fish Boils (well known throughout Door County!), a salmon tournament, dance festival, flea market, Island Players summer shows and 5K/10K walk-runs.
